Podcasting Tools for Windows (as of June 2006)

One of the listserves I subscribe to had an exchange and this is the summary - both are capable of enhanced audio and image podcasts.

1) Lecture 1-2-3 -- A java app that works for Mac and PC. The files are served off their server, but can be downloaded easily and placed wherever you like. The formats with podcasting-friendly.

2) Camtasia -- works as a PowerPoint plug-in and allows for slides to be annotated with both audio and video. Camtasia exports in several formats, one of which is QuickTime H.264 format, which works well with Apple iTunesU.
